College?! I constantly find myself siting in class wondering about what is to come rather than what is presently in front of me. I know that going to college will be just like attending another school but at the same time I will be in a new environment, which is what I am dying for. I guess at some point of life you begin to feel as though you have outgrown your surroundings. Whether it's from becoming bored or beoming too familiar with your surroundings, people constantly feel as though they are begining to slip into a constricted lifestyle. While I appreciate all the learning that I have endured in high school, I really just want to move on.

Anxiety I guess would be a good word because I am excited for the future yet nervous to be completely responsible for myself. Ps. Congrats on San Diego man.

I agree with Roberto, we have all waited for the beginning of our careers and the start of COLLEGE!
ReplyDeleteAlthough we know that things are going to be a lot different, I think its exactly what we all need, a change...

It' all really sad how we constantly are trying to reach the goal of going to a good college throughout highschool, so we miss the time we had during high school. Honestly I regret having all this extra work in too many ap classes, 2 or 3 ap classes are ok, but more is excessive. And also, how sad is it that we are always working till early morning. Im ready for the change of moving on and having hopefully more time to appreciate the people around me.

This is a bittersweet time in our lives; it will bring new adventures but also new responsibilities. I find this waiting period stressful though, and I hate not knowing where I will be going yet. I have become impatient with waiting for acceptance letters and financial packages. That makes me anxious for this year to end so that I can reach the much anticipated college experience.

I think every senior is anxious for a change. Even though college will bring on more responsibility, we are ready to move on and begin a new chapter of our lives. It will be hard at times but we will endure and make it through. However, that time will come around again at the end of college, the time for a change.

I think you are presenting every senior's point of view when you are writing this. We all are just waiting for a new environment and new people. I wish good luck in college to all the seniors. :)

I understand your view point about life in the future. I am scared about the future myself. How are the lessons i have learned in life going to be relevant in the future? That is what i am afraid of the most!

I think we all know how you feel about this whole issue and I am pretty sure we had about a three hour converstation about all the aspects from worry to excitement. We never really know what the future holds for us, but we can brace it with the best of our ability and the knowledge we have obtained over the years. We all know you'll go far Jonathan.
ReplyDeleteAfter having school for six hours a day, five days a week, for 9 months a year, for four years straight, I'm sure everyone gets tired of high school. All of us are excited for college, but you shouldn't worry too much. You've gotten this far in life without struggling too much, I'm sure you can keep going and still enjoy yourself.

This blog speaks the truth. It is definitely time for a change, and it's coming quicker than ou think. Hopefully our new environments help us more than distract us from what's really important. Although your college career may be as beautiful as you want and more, you can only stay ther for a good 4-5years so unless you plan on living in the area, it would be another chance for you to experience another environment. Good luck to you and all your endeavors. Hope it's all you wanted it to be and more.
