I search for your hand
A hand !
What hand?
Guide me to my purpose!
A purpose!
What purpose?
Do I know you?
Im sure I would remember
From january
In spring
and detatched in december
Who am I?
Will I ever know
Surely not
Surely not if I keep listening to you
I enjoyed the depth of this poem. It makes the reader question the actual presence of themselves. As an avid reader of poems, i surely understand the necessity of self reflection within written text. The use of time underlines the hidden meaning of developed feelings adapting.

This poem really makes you take a step back and reevaluate yourself. I read it more than once trying to fully understand it. Well written poem, not sure yet if i completely understand it.

Just as Alireza said "self-reflection", I too enjoy poems that make me question who I am? what I am? Do I have a purpose? and so on and so forth. This genre of poems always give me a filling of re-birth of a new me though through different glasses.

Ya like Josiah and Alireza said "self-reflection". I think that this is an interesting poem because you discuss attributes of your own life instead of drawing comparisons with abstract concepts that have little to do with your personal experience.

This poem takes more than a few reads to comprehend. It's definitely interesting, and the multiple paradoxes make it a mind-bender as well. The depth in the poem is almost tangible, and it almost forces one to re-evaluate themselves. I'm not a poetry person, so I may never truly understand the meaning of this poem; however, I do know that it is deep and meaningful.
